Poesía Sorda es la unión de textos poéticos de Jaime “el gamba” y música de Pepe Arce. Concebido como espectáculo performático donde texto y música son interpretados en tiempo real a lengua de signos por Erika Roex. Poesía Sorda es una paradoja. Poesía Sorda es un intento de pasárnoslo bien saliendo de la dinámica miserable del capital en la vida cotidiana. Poesía Sorda quiere ser una pregunta abierta. Un antes y un después. Deaf Poetry is the mix between sign language,poetry and music. A mixture of themes that go from politics, humour, capitalism, life, philosophy, disability to scatology, cooking, sex, art, revolution, etc … Deaf Poetry is an attempt to express our everyday thoughts, feelings and inquisitiveness being disability one of the most inspiring sources. Deaf Poetry is Jaime Gastalver, Erika Roex and Pepe Lucio. “When you live in South Spain you are normally surrounded by harmonic and melodic minor sounds that is why I often use those scales … Usually my compositions are related to my own life’s experiences more than to any particular style of music. I like to design situations through music in which I, for example, mix a writer with sign language or urban sounds with instruments.
